Through Florida Sea Grant Chase Osborn coordinates grants for both the Biscayne Bay Water Quality Initiative as well as Florida’s Coral Reef Restoration and Recovery Initiative. He has previously held various roles and most recently has been a Grants Assistant for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection after graduating from University of Central Florida in 2021 and Florida State University in 2023. In his current role he is working with a variety of grantees throughout the state of Florida to focus on enhancing coral recovery, including propagation and outplanting to help further the longevity of Florida’s coral reefs. Chase’s hobbies include traveling, fishing, guitar, sports and taking care of his dog Brody.
As the Grants Coordinator, Chase supports key aspects of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Coral Protection and Restoration Program, including coordination/management of grant awards under the Biscayne Bay Water Quality Improvement (BBWQI) Grant and the Florida’s Coral Reef Restoration and Recovery (FCR3) Initiative.
