Coastal Resource Managers & Stakeholders: Help Us Improve Educational Programming on Boating & Waterway Management in Florida

A new, online version of Florida’s Stem-to-Stern program—which originally engaged participants through a multi-day conference—is in the works. The program’s planning team is looking for Florida boaters, waterfront residents and businesses, and practitioners to participate in a short survey to help identify current issues for guiding educational content in boating and waterway management topics.

Boating and waterway issues continue to be a challenge across Florida. However, it has been several years since collaborative education programs from Florida Sea Grant, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), and county partners provided guidance and solutions through the Stem-to-Stern programming.

In response to numerous requests from Floridians in need of help with boating and waterway issues, the program’s planning team is preparing to develop a new Stem-to-Stern webinar series.

Boaters, waterfront residents and businesses, and practitioners interested in boating and waterway management topics can share their interests and concerns through the short survey (embedded below, est. 5-10 minutes). Input will help guide efforts and ensure the program is meeting the needs of our marine industries and boating communities.
