On the Road to 50: Join Florida Sea Grant for Parts 2 and 3 of the Decadal Seminar Series

Florida Sea Grant (FSG) is excited to continue “Decades of Advancing Coastal & Marine Science,” a statewide webinar series celebrating 50 years of collaboration with Florida’s top research universities. Last month, the University of Miami kicked off the first seminar session featuring student and faculty research on sustainable aquaculture and fisheries health to coastal resilience, community outreach, and shark ecology.

This month, FSG is highlighting Florida State University (FSU), where students and researchers will dive into shellfish aquaculture, innovations combatting seafood fraud, and coral restoration. In July, researchers from Florida International University (FIU) will explore infrastructure resilience and how Florida’s landscapes and ecosystems are responding to sea‑level rise, student research on recreational angler behavior impacts on fisheries in the Florida Keys and understanding how crustaceans respond to environmental change.
