Coral reefs are invaluable to Florida and our livelihoods. My internship focused on developing probiotic treatments for stony coral tissue loss disease (SCTLD), using beneficial bacteria to help treat and potentially even prevent the disease.
Each season, Florida Sea Grant and UF/IFAS Extension host a series of 30-minute webinars designed to give participants the opportunity to improve their understanding of different marine and coastal topics and ask experts questions.
