Christy Huntley is the Assistant Director of Fiscal Operations for the Florida Sea Grant Administration office, located on Campus in Gainesville. Christy provides administrative support for all funding sources that fall under Florida Sea Grant department. She is the direct support person for the Omnibus Grant. Previously, Christy provided support to UF/IFAS Extension Business Services as part of the administration staff. Her role there started in 2009 where she grew from a grants specialist to the Research Administration Manager before coming to Florida Sea Grant in late March 2024. During her time in Extension, she managed a wide range of competitive and non-competitive grants. Christy is a Florida native who grew up north of Gainesville in Lake Butler, Union County. Her time in Lake Butler was spent riding horses and enjoying all outside activities. Today she enjoys time with her two teenage children, along with barrel racing as her hobby. Christy holds a B.A. in Food and Resource Economics with a minor in Management from the University of Florida.
