Full Title: Prioritizing Neighborhood Revitalization: Adaptation and Resilience Building in Jacksonville

Project Abstract:

The project aims to enhance Jacksonville’s urban core by employing a participatory action research approach to integrate community-designed principles into the city’s infrastructure planning. Drawing on critical scholarship, the project recognizes  challenges of coastal infrastructure. Jacksonville is projected to face significant coastal flooding risks by 2050. The project seeks to understand and address the root causes infrastructural challenges. The project aims to create opportunities for communities to thrive amidst ongoing urban revitalization efforts.
