Today on Marine Science Minute with Florida Sea Grant: Climate Change
The impacts of climate change will continue to affect communities and all of us living in Florida for decades to come. Climate change is the shift (or change) in average temperature and weather conditions regionally and globally.
Florida Sea Grant supports local communities with applied research and outreach to improve their adaptation to and literacy of climate change. We work to make communities more resilient to coastal hazards such as rising seas and flooding.
There are things you can do to adapt to climate change and reduce your personal greenhouse gas emissions.
- Conserve water both inside and outside your home.
- Strategically landscape to cool your home and store carbon dioxide.
- Purchase energy-efficient appliances and use renewable energy.
- Reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle.
