Reef Futures Workshop: Planning for Caribbean Coral Rescue as a Response to Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease

The workshop will serve as a forum for collaboration, learning, and dialogue among Caribbean partners responding to stony coral tissue loss disease (SCTLD) on local coral reefs who are interested in establishing and enhancing coral rescue programs as a part of SCTLD response efforts. The workshop will help Caribbean disease response practitioners and coral reef managers begin to develop SCTLD coral rescue plans, ensuring they have an understanding of different methodologies and technologies that will help meet their goals.

U.S. Coral Reef Task Force Coral Disease Working Pacific Preparedness Workshop

This workshop is targeted at Pacific coral managers and practitioners in support of their efforts to prepare for a potential coral disease outbreak in the Pacific. The workshop will focus on preventing coral disease transmission, understanding threats and what is known about the susceptibility of Pacific corals, prioritizing response and preparedness needs, and strategies to obtain resources to meet these needs.
