Shelly coordinates and manages all aspects of the Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP), including day-to-day operations and programmatic expansion, updates, evaluation, and new course development. She represents the FMNP at conferences, meetings, and in the media. It is her responsibility to establish and maintain partnerships that enhance the mission of the FMNP, including oversight for services provided and collaborations with UF/IFAS Office of Conferences and Institutes, website manager, social media coordinator, program assistant, organizational partnerships, contractual employees, and vendors.  As a State Specialized Agent, Shelly will teach FMNP courses and provide training and mentoring for FMNP instructors, as well as report/publish on the FMNP as a comprehensive education and training program and lead revenue enhancement that supports the extension program.  She also assists with other organizational elements of UF/IFAS statewide natural resources extension programming.

Outreach Program

The FMNP is a UF/IFAS Extension program provided by many Extension offices and participating organizations throughout the state. The FMNP promotes awareness, understanding, and respect of Florida’s natural world among Florida’s citizens and visitors wishing to increase their knowledge for use as volun­teers or employees.
