As Florida Sea Grant’s climate change specialist, Fletcher works collaboratively as a member of the UF/IFAS South Florida Climate Change and Sea-Level Rise Team to develop an appropriate extension program focusing on the effects of climate change and sea-level rise on natural and built environments, including the Everglade’s ecosystem. Part of her role is to deliver educational programs such as workshops, conference presentations and print/online publications.
Fletcher’s expertise includes water quality policy, coastal restoration, and coral reef ecology. She serves as a liaison between NOAA and the public regarding research, management, and restoration efforts in the Everglades, south Florida, and Florida Keys.
