The latest addition to the Florida Sea Grant website is in the area of biotechnology. Over the past year, noted science writer Mark Schrope interviewed Florida Sea Grant research project leaders about the 24 studies undertaken in "marine biotechnology" since 1996. The compilation of his articles is located at http://flseagrant.org/program_areas/biotechnology/biotech_24_rsch_prjs.htm. This material represents one of the largest Sea Grant biotech efforts in the country. Florida Sea Grant will use this material in outreach to industry and government. Also, we hope that colleagues in the academic research and education community will find it helpful for networking. Comments are invited. Individuals visiting the Florida Sea Grant website will note
that this section of the website is accessed by clicking "Current
Research" on the "Marine Biotechnology" page
(http://www.flseagrant.org/program_areas/biotechnology/index.htm),
and then clicking "Marine Biotechnology Research"
under that. |
